Biography | Statement | Shows

My themes are mainly drawn from nature. Iˆ¢m fascinated by transformation, and the effects of time - the patina of age on metal, moss on the bark of trees, mottled patterns on leaves, buds unfurling. The materials, motifs, and techniques used reflect this fascination with nature.

As a painter, I work in watercolours, acrylics, and gouache, and frequently a mix of several media, including bits of collage for interest. These bits might be speckled fabric or torn paper fragments or a twig, or dried leaf, worked into the design. Possibilities are endless.
